Community Involvement

In addition to working to enrich the professional lives of our employees, Citizens also is committed to giving back to their communities.

  • We recognize volunteers and their efforts during Volunteer Week in April by sharing testimonials and event recaps.
  • Volunteers from our IT Division spend time serving meals at the Jacksonville Hope Lodge to support cancer patients and their caregivers as they receive treatment away from home.
  • Everyone in the organization pitches in when it comes to inspiring future generations during Take a Child to Work Day and Beyond by coordinating activities, workshops, and presentations geared toward providing insight to the day to day at Citizens.
  • And some employees take their advocacy a step further by working with the American Cancer Society's Cancer Action Network by lobbying Congress to increase funding for cancer research and early detection priorities.

Community Volunteer & Mentor Program

Citizens employees have strong ties with the communities they live in and serve. Citizens supports these ties through the Community Volunteer and Mentor Program, which allows employees to donate time each month to programs that help improve the quality of life and education for children or adults in need.
