2023-A Florida Insurance Guaranty Association Emergency Assessment

Citizens will begin collecting the 2023-A Florida Insurance Guaranty Association (FIGA) emergency assessment as ordered by the Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR). This will apply to all new and renewal business effective October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.

The assessment factor is .01 (or 1.0%) and will have a minimum charge of $1.

Note: The 2023 FIGA Assessment, which was implemented on January 1, 2023, will expire on December 31, 2023.

PolicyCenter

The 2023-A FIGA Regular Emergency Assessment will display in PolicyCenter® in the Mandatory Additional Surcharges section.

Declarations Page

The 2023 Florida Insurance Guaranty Association (FIGA) Emergency Assessment will display on the Declarations page in the Mandatory Additional Charges section.

Rating Steps and Factors manuals will be updated on the Agents site. Select Personal, the product line and policy form. The applicable manuals are located under Manuals on the right side of the page.
