Citizens is enhancing the Property Insurance Clearinghouse Powered by EZLynx®, effective July 11, 2025. This update will allow limited agents and licensed customer representatives (LCRs) to select the designated agent of record (AOR) directly within the quoting process. This will ensure your agency reaches all available private-market carriers and submits only eligible business to Citizens.

Agent of Record Selection Feature

Write-and-service LCRs and limited agents will log in to EZLynx using their own credentials. On the Rating tab, they must select the full agent (AOR) they are writing under, using the new field, Citizens Agent of Record.

Once the AOR is selected:

• The agent’s appointed carriers will be displayed by selecting the information icon () next to Citizens. 
• Select Okay to choose the carriers with which the AOR is appointed.

Note: LCRs and limited agents must ensure that valid login credentials are entered for each carrier the selected AOR is appointed with.  

If all required carriers are not selected, the system will generate an error message listing the missing carriers. Select Okay to add these carriers for quoting. Figure 2: Screenshot of All Appointed Carriers Required error

If a carrier the agent of record is not appointed with is selected, quote result errors will occur and a quote will not be returned. Return to the Rating page to select the correct carriers for the AOR or enter agent login information to continue.Figure 3: Screenshot of quote result error on the Quote Results screen

Upcoming Training

As previously announced in the June 19 Training Bulletin, training will be provided with additional details about EZLynx and to demonstrate the new EZLynx functionality. All write-and-service LCRs and limited agents are strongly encouraged to attend.

Resources

A new Clearinghouse Powered by EZLynx Best Practice Guide provides additional guidance for agents submitting new-business risks via EZLynx. It includes details about entering wind loss mitigation features, how to enter quotes for limited liability companies and other entities, and how to proceed when a clearinghouse carrier determines a risk is ineligible after the agent applies via the carrier’s portal.
