Citizens will begin collecting the 2023-A Florida Insurance Guaranty Association (FIGA) emergency assessment as ordered by the Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR). This will apply to all new and renewal business effective October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.

The assessment factor is .01 (or 1.0%) and will have a minimum charge of $1.

Note: The 2023 FIGA Assessment, which was implemented January 1, 2023, will expire December 31, 2023.

The 2023-A Florida Insurance Guaranty Emergency Assessment will display in PolicyCenter® in the Mandatory Additional Surcharges section.

Declarations Page

The 2023 Florida Insurance Guaranty Association (FIGA) Emergency Assessment will display on the Declarations page in the Required Additional Charges section.
