As announced on September 4, 2025, Citizens has begun processing renewals through the Clearinghouse Powered by EZLynx®. This enhanced solution provides Citizens-appointed agents with real-time homeowners and dwelling quotes from participating insurers. 

Citizens’ Coverage B insures other structures up to 60% of Coverage A. Under Citizens’ new renewal process, if coverage in the private insurance market is not available at the same percentage or dollar amount for comparable Coverage B coverage, then the policy may qualify for an exception request. These requests may be completed through the Clearinghouse Powered by EZLynx Override Form, which should be sent to clearinghouse.help@citizensfla.com. Upon review and approval, and given no other indications of ineligibility, Citizens will allow the policy to renew.

This change applies to renewals processed on or after March 1, 2026.

Note: Coverage B does not apply to HO-6 policies.
