Citizens has enhanced our billing processes for sending invoices to mortgage companies not just at renewal, but also when a new business policy is bound. Agents should continue to send the billing invoice to the title company for home closings. That process has not changed.
Mortgagee-Billed Changes
Citizens will now send a payment invoice to the mortgage company when the policy is bound for new business and a lien holder or mortgage company is listed as the payor on the policy. Agents no longer need to send the billing invoice to the mortgage company for current escrows.
For active policies with a midterm premium-bearing policy change, we will now send an invoice to the mortgage company.
