Citizens’ Property Insurance Clearinghouse is an innovative program that identifies private-market property insurance options for homeowners who believe Citizens may be their only choice for property insurance.
When you apply for Citizens coverage, your Citizens-appointed agent will enter information from you application into the clearinghouse. Participating private-market companies will review your information to determine whether they would like to offer coverage for your home.
If one or more private-market companies offer to insure your home, your agent will provide you with a quote sheet that includes a side-by-side list of all offers received. The quote sheet will indicate which offers are comparable to Citizens and whether any of those offers make you ineligible for coverage with Citizens.
Your agent will review your coverage options with you to help you determine the most appropriate coverage for your home.
