Citizens has discovered that agents are creating duplicate mortgage company contacts in PolicyCenter®. Agents should search the Address Book in PolicyCenter to choose an existing mortgage company contact to properly add them as the payor.
Follow the instructions outlined in the PolicyCenter job aids, located on the Commercial and Personal tabs of the Training section of the website:
- Commercial Lines: Adding Mortgagee as the Payor. Refer to Step 3.
- Personal Lines: Adding or Changing a Premium Finance Company or Mortgagee. Refer to Page 8 for Adding a Mortgagee instructions.
In some instances, agents will see the following message when attempting to add a mortgage company as the payor:
There are no List Bill Accounts that match any mortgage company listed as additional interests of any building. Please create a New Activity to Billing Center to create a list bill account.
If you receive this message and cannot continue, call the Customer Care Center for assistance, 888.685.1555.
