Chief Human Resources Officer
Violet Bloom is responsible for directing all of Citizens’ people functions, in accordance with the policies and practices of the organization, the ethical principles of business, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. Bloom also is responsible for strategic human resource planning to provide Citizens with the best talent available and to position Citizens as an employer of choice by keeping abreast of policies, practices and trends within the insurance industry and industry in general.
Bloom is an accomplished HR leader with more than 30 years experience in corporate and human resources consulting roles for a variety of private and public sector industries. Prior to joining Citizens, Bloom was Assistant Vice President of Compensation, Recognition and Payroll with the University of Miami. Her career accomplishments have focused on the design and delivery of HR programs that align with the strategic objectives and unique culture of the organization, including maximizing employee value. She also has held HR leadership roles at Indiana University, University of Notre Dame and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina.
Bloom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP).
